Bedrock Wine Co. was started in 2007 when Morgan Twain-Peterson began making wine in a 550-sq foot former chicken coop with 8' ceilings and no fermentation space. Six years later, he was able to talk his best friend, Chris Cottrell, into moving to California from New York to join him, and since then, Bedrock Wine Co. has become one of the most influential new wineries in California.

 

The son of Ravenswood founder Joel Peterson, Morgan has been immersed in wine his entire life -

 

Drawing inspiration from California's rich viticultural history, Morgan works to preserve old vine plantings throughout the state (he is a founding member of the Historic Vineyard Society) and highlight their story.
