When Cliff Lede set out to build a winery, he followed the model that made him so successful in the business world: Hire the best people possible and give them every resource available. 

And so at Cliff Lede, an unreal combination of location (they share a hill with Shafer's Hillside Select) and resources (the winery is the most sparkling, state-of-the-art winemaking facility imaginable) is managed by the best minds in wine: David Abreu, (Harlan and Screaming Eagle) grows the grapes; Chris Tynan (former Assistant Winemaker at Colgin) makes the wines; and Philippe Melka acts as consultant and helps with the final blends.

This is a project where nothing is sacrificed and no corners are cut in an effort to make the finest wines the world has ever known. Every possible resource has been devoted to this gal, and the resulting wines are without question on par with the cult stars of Napa and the world beyond.
