The Customer Service Associate Role

Vanguard Wines is a distributor of fine wine and spirits, servicing the Indiana and Kentucky markets seeking a Customer Service Associate to work part-time. This job may be a particularly great opportunity for:

The perfect person for Vanguard Wines is someone who works with urgency, commits to the team, and believes there is always something new to learn! Our ideal team member will be a self-starter who is able to quickly accomplish a task and will eagerly take on multiple projects at a time. This person should be able to balance seeking his/her/their own answers and creating solutions to problems.

Job Details

$15-18 per hour

20-25 hours per week

Monday-Friday 11am-4pm

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Daily processing of customer payments

  • Enter customer payments. Work with the accounting manager to reconcile invoices. Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

 

Assisting in the monitoring and collection of Accounts Receivable

  • Work with the Sales and Delivery team members to coordinate the collection of payments from accounts in the field.

 

Receive customer service calls

  • Respond to calls and emails from both internal and external customers to solve problems pertaining to customer orders, shipments, deliveries, damaged items, billing, & invoicing, and issuing credit memos and return authorizations as needed while supporting inventory control

 

Support communication with the Sales and Operations Teams

  • Provide insight and product recommendations to customers, maintain customer records by updating and creating account information, assist with chain cost file maintenance, and be ready to assist with other administrative and operational tasks as required

What you'll have

  • You have an outgoing personality, but you enjoy stretches of focused work to get tasks done.

  • You are well-versed in Microsoft Office Applications, and an Enterprise Resourcing Planning (ERP) system such as NetSuite or QuickBooks.

  • You have strong time-management and people skills, flexibility, and the ability to multitask

  • You have a mind for numbers and data and are analytical in problem-solving.

  • You have an eye for detail and accuracy.

  • You are able to work independently.
