Similar to his approach with Failla, most of the Day Zinfandel wines are sourced from Sonoma County. Inspired by the climate and geology of area and its long history with Zinfandel, Ehren has selected pedigreed vineyards for the backbone of the Day wines.
Ehren Jordan makes his return to Zinfandel with the launch of his newest project, Day. After establishing his reputation as a talented vigneron at Turley and Neyers, and starting his own winery, Failla, in 1998, Ehren purchased property in St. Helena in 2004. He knew then that he wanted to plant grapes on the hillside that was, at the time, home to an apple orchard. After a few years, he decided the site was perfect for Zinfandel - one of his early loves in the vine world. Four acres are currently planted, with the original vines hitting dirt in 2011.

Great sites, old vines, and gentle winemaking remain the production philosophy for Day.
