The Sales Representative Role

Vanguard Wines is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and determined Sales Representatives with a passion for imported fine wines and artisanal spirits to join our team. You would have the flexibility of working from home and focusing exclusively on your assigned territory, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining existing accounts. Though you would have variable hours, you would have FULL command of your schedule to maximize opportunities with new and existing clientele. Your analytical and listening skills will be put to work identifying the best services for your customers with our portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maximize revenue opportunity across 75-150 trade accounts

  • Meet and exceed revenue goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

  • Attend and participate in sales meetings

  • Conduct regional consumer/trade events on a weekly basis

  • Travel expectations: 75%

What you'll have

  • 1-2 years of direct/business-to-business sales experience 

  • 1-2 years of fine wine/spirits/beer sales experience (Preferred)

  • Ability to thrive while working autonomously (Required)

  • Residence within the greater Indianapolis area (Required)

  • Dedicated to learning and growing professionally and personally (Required)

  • Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable vehicle (Required)

  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds (Required)

  • Willingness to travel: 75%

Preferences

  • 1-2 years of fine wine/spirits/beer sales experience

  • Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) 

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher

  • Experience with the Entrepreneurial Operating System/EOS

What you'll receive

  • Monthly commission on sales from assigned account base, beginning at 5%, increasing to 10%, and peaking at 15% as revenue milestones are achieved each month, PLUS $30,000 supplemental base salary totaling a potential overall salary of at least $60,000-$80,000 annually (no commission cap)
